At ENTR, we know your formulas, labels, and supplier data aren’t just product specs - they’re your IP. That’s why we’re proud to announce that ENTR is now SOC 2 compliant, Type 1 and Type 2.

This certification represents a major milestone in how we protect customer data, ensure platform reliability, and support the needs of enterprise food and supplement teams with high security expectations.

What is SOC 2? And What’s the Difference Between Type 1 and Type 2?

SOC 2 (short for System and Organization Controls 2) is an independent audit framework developed by the AICPA to evaluate how software vendors manage sensitive customer data. It’s especially critical for cloud-based platforms like ENTR.

There are two types:

  • SOC 2 Type 1 assesses whether a company has the right controls in place at a single point in time.
  • SOC 2 Type 2 takes it further: it evaluates whether those controls are actually working over an extended period (usually 6 - 12 months).

In other words:

Type 1 = good intentions. Type 2 = proven follow-through.

ENTR now has both.

Why It Matters for You

If you work on a regulatory, QA, R&D, or IT team, SOC 2 compliance means:

  • Your proprietary ingredient, formula and label data are protected with enterprise-grade security controls
  • You can confidently pass your own internal security reviews when adopting ENTR
  • You can scale your team’s usage of ENTR without outgrowing the platform’s security or access controls

And for growing brands working with co-manufacturers, suppliers, or public retailers, SOC 2 compliance is often a prerequisite for vendor onboarding.

Our Commitment to Enterprise-Ready Compliance

SOC 2 isn’t a checkbox for us - it’s part of our broader investment in being the most trusted source of truth for product development workflows in the food and supplement space.
